What can the counseling office help you plan?

Students and families do not need to wait for a problem. The counseling office can be a starting point for questions, planning, and finding the right school resource.

Credits & Graduation

Ask about graduation requirements, credit progress, course planning, and concerns about staying on track.

College Planning

Discuss applications, transcripts, test scores, college research, and the steps that follow an admission decision.

Career & Training

Explore Central Tech, career interests, ICAP planning, military options, technical training, and workforce preparation.

Financial Planning

Find reliable starting points for FAFSA, scholarships, Oklahoma’s Promise, and other financial-aid questions.

Make a counseling conversation more useful

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. A little preparation can help you leave with clearer answers and next steps.

  • Bring the question you are trying to answer.
  • Know your current grade level and the goal you are working toward.
  • Bring relevant schedules, forms, emails, or application information.
  • Write down deadlines you are worried about.
  • Ask what you should do next—and when it should be completed.

Planning changes as students move through high school

Every grade has a different focus, but students should check grades, attend consistently, and ask questions early throughout all four years.
