Graduation requirements

Graduation planning depends on the student’s class year. Use the correct state checklist, review progress regularly, and confirm Mannford-approved courses and local requirements with the counselor.

Class of 2030 and beyond

!
Graduation minimums are not always college-admission minimums. The state checklist notes that college requirements vary. Students considering college should plan courses with the counselor and may need Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, world language, and other admission-specific coursework.

11th-Grade Assessments

Students participate in the ACT with writing, science assessment, and U.S. history assessment during Grade 11.

ICAP

Students complete and update an Individual Career and Academic Plan, including an annual career assessment, career goal, and related coursework.

Other State Requirements

Personal Financial Literacy, CPR/AED instruction, and passing the required U.S. naturalization test remain part of graduation readiness.

FAFSA & Experience

Students complete the FAFSA or a signed opt-out and participate in service learning or work-based learning at least once in Grades 9–12.

Important for every graduating class

A state checklist is a planning tool—not a substitute for reviewing the student’s actual transcript, Mannford course approvals, and individual graduation progress.

  • Review credits and graduation progress with the counselor each year.
  • Complete required Grade 11 college- and career-readiness assessments.
  • Complete ICAP activities and update future goals annually.
  • Meet Personal Financial Literacy, CPR/AED, and citizenship-test requirements.
  • Complete the FAFSA or submit the allowed opt-out documentation.
  • Confirm that courses also meet college, scholarship, NCAA, technical-program, or military goals when applicable.

Unsure which requirement applies?

Contact the counselor before changing a schedule, choosing a curriculum option, or assuming that a course will satisfy a graduation, college-admission, or career-pathway requirement.
