We strive to prepare our student's for a new world of learning.
The goal of the Mannford Early Childhood Center is to provide developmentally appropriate early learning experiences for 4-5 year olds that will prepare them for success in future educational settings while instilling a lifelong love of learning. This goal will be accomplished through PLAY because "play" is a child's "work" at this age. The curriculum is based on the whole child philosophy, incorporating activities that teach to intelligences and address all learning styles.
The curriculum builds upon what children already know and are able to do to enable them to connect
Congratulations to Our Teacher of the Year, Amber Merrell!
Amber Merrell has been commended by her peers as the MECC FY17 Site Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Merrell, a graduate of Mannford High School, has served as a Kindergarten teacher at MECC for 6-years. Mrs. Merrell earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University. Mrs. Merrell is described by her peers as “great in all areas” and noticed as the person who “takes charge and completes things while others are still discussing it.” Congratulations, Mrs. Merrell!
