Helping children receive the education they deserve
The Oklahoma State Department of Education asks schools and communities to make families aware of Child Find opportunities. This responsibility includes children with disabilities who reside in Oklahoma, whether they attend public or private schools.
“All children with disabilities, residing in the State, whether attending public or private schools, should be identified, located, and evaluated.”
In Oklahoma, Child Find applies to all children who are suspected of having a disability and may need special education or related services.
These identification and evaluation services are provided to children with disabilities free of charge throughout the State of Oklahoma.
